NEW RELEASE
Black Bull Special Reserve Batch 2 50%
Tasting Notes:
Colour: Pale Gold
Nose: Ground almonds, soft ripe peach, vanilla and green tea, full but complex.
Palate: Rich, creamy and malty, a little more spicy than the nose suggests, clovees and cardamon, quite a little sweetie.
Finish: Develops into more fruitcake notes, just a touch of dry oak, but not astringent at all. Long and complex disolving into wondeful honeyed notes.
Comment: I would defy anyone who refuses to drink a blended whisky (if such a person exists) to try this and not change his opinion. There are many less complex, less subtle, harder to drink malts around than this blend. In fact it is the most un-blend like blend that you could find!
