Rare Auld Bunnahabhain 1988 22yo 53.6% Cask 2356
Colour: Gold
Nose: Apple skins, lime cordial, tealeaves and tattie scones.  Soft medicinal creamy notes, blossom and hints of cigar boxes
Taste: Toffee, traditional lemonade.  Coastal breeze.  A touch of maltiness emerges along with honey and nutmeg
Finish: Soft brown sugar, custard cream biscuits and parma ham
Comment: A softly coastal Bunna with a fresh edge!

Rare Auld Bunnahabhain 1986 24yo 47.9% Cask 1575
Colour: Amber
Nose: Initially heavy and quite closed, marmite, green beans and aubergine with smoked almonds.  Some darker fruits emerge blackberries and lots of floral notes.
Taste: Melted caramel, marzipan, broom.  Lot going on very thick on the mouth feel with some honey and citrus notes
Finish: Touch of rocket, white pepper – subtle saltiness and growing toffee notes
Comment: A chewy toffee Bunnahabhain!

Rare Auld Cragganmore 1992 19yo 53.6% Cask 1425
Colour: Gold     
Nose: Lemon bon bons, creamy, vanilla pods with touch of liquorice        
Taste: Oily, touch of coconut, grassy notes, creaminess builds nicely     
Finish: Clean with soft fruits and grassier notes emerging 
Comment: A cracking dram with lots to discover…        

Rare Auld Glen Moray 1994 17yo 55.0% Cask 1877
Colour: Pale gold     
Nose: Gooseberries, malty notes, peppery
Taste: Big with red apples balanced with zesty lemongrass and some wood ‘n’ spice emerging 
Finish: Long & mouth coating with white chocolate and kola cubes       
Comment: A big malty dram ideal for autumn!

Rare Auld Linkwood 1986 24yo 47.1% Cask 991103
Colour: Pale Gold
Nose: Lemons, grapes, honey and a twist of lime. Digestive biscuits and butter and lots of kiwi fruits.
Taste: Dry hint of smoke. Quite oily, brown sugar and chocolate
Finish: Soft fruits, lots of citrus and a touch of butter shortbread.
Comment: A juicy Dram – leaves you wanting more!

Rare Auld Miltonduff 1984 27yo 54.7% Cask 10014
Colour: Mid Gold
Nose: Initially medicinal traces, then making jam. Like walking into a patisserie. Warm apple slices, raisins and all spice. With time becomes much creamier.
Taste: Hints of heavier fruits, cherries and figs and then gives way to lychees, peaches and flaked almonds.
Finish: Quite nutty and then some lemon sponge cake with hints of cardoman.
Comment: An ever-changing whisky, sit back and take your time.

Rare Auld Grain North British 1978 33yo 54.4% Cask 39891
Colour: Warm Gold
Nose: Very herbal, reminiscing of good bitters. Cocoa beans, lime pickle and cumin. Orange zest and rhubarb leaves
Taste: Thick and chewy, crème brulee and cinnamon chewing gum. Lots of rosemary, thyme and some ginger.
Finish: Hugely herbal, with thick vanilla and a touch of aniseed
Comment: A big herbal whisky – Definitely worth a try. Heading towards port Dundas in style.

NC2 Benrinnes 1997 14yo 46%
Colour: Pale Straw
Nose: Green apples, creamy, digestives in butter, develop into concentrated apple juice, humbug centres.
Taste: Jelly babies, raspberries, savoury pastry, kiwi fruits, creamy with a syrupy mouthful.
Finish: Cooking apples, hard pears, flowery and hay.
Comment: A very clean Benrinnes

NC2 Cragganmore 1997 14yo 46%
Colour: Pale Gold    
Nose: Fresh cut grass, custard and pears         
Taste: Juicy fruits, creaminess developing touch of aniseed with barley sugar notes emerging 
Finish: Sweet and gentle, warm honey finish    
Comment: Deliciously drinkable!

NC2 Glen Grant 1995 16yo 46%
Colour: Gold
Nose: Olive oil, bananas, cream and lots of fresh vanilla. Pineapples, mangos and a touch of mint.
Taste: Malty, autumnal leaves. Hints of toffee and then some herbal notes.
Finish: Lasting grass herbal notes, lots of fresh grassy notes. Right at the end there is a hint of plums.
Comment: A chewy Glen Grant with bags of fruit.

NC2 Glentauchers 1996 15yo 46%
Colour: Straw
Nose: An old fashioned sweet shop – lots going on.  Huge juicy fruity notes.  A faint medicinal note comes to the fore but there is also hints of roast beef and a good dollop of lemon curd.
Taste: Fruit scones with cream.  Some fresh grassy notes, lemon grass and uncut ginger root.
Finish: A little oily, mid length with some orange bitters and toffee
Comment: A crisp and refreshing whisky

NC2 Linkwood 2000 11yo 46%
Colour: Bright Gold
Nose: Creamy, brown sugar.  Brown bread with soft exotic fruit notes, with time gooseberries emerge with hints of rhubarb and pancake mix.
Taste: Custard, blueberry muffins and green bananas.  Quite a bit of white chocolate and subtle ginger.
Finish: Ground almonds, pears and concentrated apple juice
Comment: Juicy fruits with a nutty edge
