 Rarest of the Rare Caperdonich 1968 42yo 49.8% Cask 2611

Colour: Warm gold    

Nose: Zesty lemon & lime, hint of gingerbread held together with sweet honey and fresh mint leaf

Taste: Lots of tropical fruits – passionfruit, pink grapefruit and redcurrants, sweet exotic spices,  touch of oak smoke & saltiness     

Finish: Sweet and very mouth coating, more fruit and toffee emerges right at the end       

Comment: Caperdonich at its very best!   


Rare Auld Bowmore 1982 28yo 54.8% Cask 85077

Colour: Gold   

Nose: Ripe pears, sweet smoke, vanilla custard           

Taste: Bursting with juicy green fruits and touch of sweet candy, creamy, hints of germolene

Finish: Very long, mouth coating, fruity with touch of dry smoke at the end           

Comment: A Bowmore for all occasions!


Rare Auld Laphroaig 1997 13yo 54.8% Cask 8355

Colour: pale straw  

Nose: Oh yes! Medicinal notes balanced with clotted cream, hints of lemon & ginger, dry roasted peanuts          

Taste: Lots of ash and smoke, creamy medicinal notes, watermelon and papaya    

Finish: Dry ash, sweet fruits, damp drift wood       

Comment: An absolute cracker!
