Port Dundas 1973 Cask 128318 54.1%

Karen has been hounding me to write something for the blog so I thought it would be a good enough reason to write a tasting note so here are our notes for our latest cask of Port Dundas 1973.

Nose: Sweet and a little meaty to begin with – oxtail soup?  Caramel notes emerge, white chocolate and balsamic vinegar.  definitely get creamier with time.

Taste: A big spicy start, green apple skins, cinnamon and slightly burnt brown sugar and butter

Finish: Almost like calvados on the finish.  Leaves behind a lingering spice.

Comment: A great creamy whisky with an apple twist!
